In this talk you’ll learn how to tackle UX problems that are specific to Blockchain and decentralized applications. Blockchain technology is popularly described as supporting Web 3.0. A web where applications and our data don’t live on Facebook, Google or Amazon servers, but are distributed among miners from Seoul to Krasnoyarsk. This evidently changes the way we build and design user experiences on the web. Based on our experience working for Status.im, whos ICO raised over a $100M, we share our learnings of dealing with some of the following UX challenges:
- Finding and understanding future users
- Building empathy and design thinking in a techdriven, remote company
- Selling and explaining privacy and security as a feature
- Persuasive design through tokenization
- Designing new identification and verification interfaces
- Making assets (cryptocurrency and tokens) meaningful
- Giving feedback about a black box of transaction confirmations
- Designing for anonymous profiles
